One method which grants someone else the right to copy a work is called “Granting a licence”.  In this case, you still retain all rights to your work; you are simply permitting someone else to reproduce portions of your work.

How do you Grant a License?
Granting a license can be as simple as having the party who wants to reproduce the work send a letter of request to grant them a copyright license – and if you agree, you reply.
For legal purposes, ensure you always maintain multiple copies of these correspondences.

What If There Are Multiple Copyright Owners for the Work?
Each owner of the copyright must grant their permission to license the work.
